Timmen "Tim" Kelly Roan

Timmen "Tim" Kelly Roan, 50, of Greenwood, Indiana, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. A loving father, brother, and son, Tim was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew him. His gentle spirit, quick wit, and analytical mind will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Born in La Porte, IN on June 23rd, 1972, Tim was the cherished son of Bobby J. Roan, who went to be with the Lord in August 2015, and Mary B. (Stewart) Roan. He grew up alongside his sisters, Pheebe J. (Steven) Monroe and Robin Sanders, with whom he shared a lifetime of laughter and love.

Tim's dedication to his country was evident through his four years of service in the United States Army. During this time, he graduated from the Defense Language Institute, a testament to his intelligence and commitment. Tim later continued his education, obtaining a bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University.

As a computer analyst at Nissan, Tim was able to combine his love for technology with his analytical nature. In his free time, he enjoyed reading science fiction, watching movies, and learning about history. However, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family, who were his greatest source of pride.

Tim is survived by his loving mother, Mary; his three children, Morgan, Evan, and Jacob Roan, who were the light of his life; his sisters, Pheebe and Robin; and his nieces and nephews, Zach (Carlie) Monroe, Quinn Monroe, Alyssa Monroe, Alexandrea Sanders, and Brittney Sanders. He now joins his father, Bobby, in eternal rest.

A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15th, 2023, at First Freewill Baptist Church of Rolling Prairie. Pastors Verlin Combs and Leonard Johnson will officiate the service, commemorating the life of a man who was a true blessing to all who knew him. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church. Family and friends are invited to join together in remembrance and celebration of Tim's life. Memorial donations may be made to the family c/o Mary Roan, 2900 Monroe Street, La Porte, IN  46350.

In the words of the great preacher Charles Spurgeon, "To be with Christ is the greatest gain." As we mourn the loss of our beloved Tim, we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the loving embrace of our Lord and Savior.
