Joseph  F. Westerhoff, 55, of Walkerton, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday June 7th, 2023 in North Liberty, IN.

 

Joe was born February 26th, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Nickolas Westerhoff Sr.and Judith (Hannus) Westerhoff.

 

Joe was the type of man who got pleasure out of simply helping others. He was known as a person you could depend on and would be there any way he could. He enjoyed being in the outdoors camping, kayaking, and staying busy. He also was a member of the American Legion of Fish Lake enjoying time spent with members. But the biggest passion in Joe's life was his love for his family especially his daughter, brothers, and nieces and nephews.

 

He is also survived by his daughter, Diane (Dacoda) Westerhoff of Walkerton, IN; five brothers, Nickolas (Danyell) Westerhoff Jr., Ernie (Dawn) Westerhoff Sr., Kale (Cheryl) Westerhoff, David Westerhoff, Tony Westerhoff, and nieces and nephews Kalyn, Marcella, Reina, Ernie Jr, Burt Sr., Trey, Tyler, Brittney, Destyne; great nieces and nephews Greyson, Isabella, Bridgette, Alex, Korbin W, Kayne, Karter, Burt Jr., Layla, Cyric, Ravyn, Kamden, Hazel, Korbin D, Emma, Peyton, and Nova.

 

Joseph was preceded in death by parents and his lifelong partner, Beverly Torok who passed away in the fall of 2022.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. A Celebration of Life will take place later this summer. Cremation has taken place.
