Dawn Renee Dickson, 55, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday June 6th, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side.

 

She was born December 9th, 1967 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Louis Mansfield and Martha (Calvert) Mansfield.

 

A lifelong resident of the area, Dawn worked as a CNA for many years. She had a passion for horses; showing them at the 4-H Fair in her younger days. She had a fondness for gardening, arts & crafts, and deer. She enjoyed playing softball and truly loved all kinds of music. But Dawn's biggest passion in her life was her husband Terry, her family, and especially her grandkids. She will be missed by many. 

 

On September 10th, 2010, in La Porte, she married Terry Dickson who survives.

 

She is also survived by her three sons, Christopher (Danyelle) Grillo of Eau Claire, MI, Charles "Chuckie" Lueth of La Porte, Austin Hefner of La Porte; daughter, Ashley McCallum; brother, Brent A. Mansfield of La Porte, IN; seven grandchildren, Kayden Jones, Koltyn Grillo, Kolby Grillo, Karsyn Grillo, Vinny Mejia, Cyric Rans and Levi McCallum.

 

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Todd Mansfield.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Avenue, La Porte, IN. A memorial tribute to Dawn's life will be at a later date. Family has chosen cremation.
