Carol Lee Jelke, 76, passed away on Friday, May 19th, 2023.

 

Carol was born on August 17th, 1946 in La Porte, IN, to Roy and Helen (Meister) Smith.

 

On July 19th, 1969 in La Porte, she married Dave, who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her sons, Ryan (Erin) Jelke of La Porte and Bret (Beth) Jelke of AL; granddaughter, Dalainy Jelke of AL; sister, Landa (Roland) Hamilton of Mill Creek; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

 

Carol was devoted homemaker, who took pride caring for her home and beloved family.

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. 

 

In lieu of memorial contributions, the family requests that acts of kindness be done in Carol's honor.
