Margaret "Peggy"  Richardson, 71, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 19th, 2023 at 7:56 am in her home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 25th, 2023 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington Street, Michigan City, IN with  Brother Shaun Gray officiating. Private burial will take place in Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton, IN.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

 

She was born November 19th, 1951 in Gary, IN to the late Lester and Ann (Hallett) Lucas. On November 22th, 1969 in Michigan City, IN she married Gaylen Richardson who preceded on November 12th, 2010.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Renee (Anthony) Richardson-Palmieri of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Tim Richardson of La Porte, IN and William (Renee) Richardson of Westville, IN; four grandchildren, Taylor Richardson, Kaylee Richardson, Luca Palmieri and Lily Richardson; great-grandson, Leo Welsch; two sisters, Susan Sloan of Temple, TX and Tracy (Tom) Teselle of Eau Claire, WI;  and her brother, Tim (Pam) Parker of Clifton, TX.

 

She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Richardson; sister, Patricia Sloan; and brother, Ralph Sloan.   

 

Peggy enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch, sewing and making jewelry. She was a fierce and loyal mother who loved her children dearly and adored her grandchildren and great-grandson.
