Dennis John White, 73, of Michigan City, passed away on Sunday, February 19th, 2023 at Hamilton Grove Nursing Home in New Carlisle.  He was born on June 24th, 1949 in La Porte, IN, the son of Erwin C. White, Sr. and Adelaide White.  Dennis was preceded in death in 2016 by Marva White, his wife of 38 years and one sister, Joan White Coleman.  Surviving are his son, Micah White of Kansas City; sister, Sharon White Westphal of Valparaiso; and brothers, E. Chuck White of La Porte, Nick White of Roseburg, OR, and Gene White of Michigan City.

 

Dennis graduated from Elson High School and Purdue University.  After teaching for three years at Saint Stanislaus Elementary School, he moved to Woodstock, IL, where he worked as a steel bar executive.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Cutler Funeral Home.  Inurnment will be in the columbarium at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery.

 

Dennis had a long-time friendship with Father Blaney and would want any memorial contributions to be made to Sharing Meadows.
