William Paul Kennedy, 76, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 12:35 p.m., Monday, January 30th, 2023 at Goshen Hospital.

 

He was born on January 26th, 1947 in Michigan City to Paul and Eleanore (Fox) Kennedy.

 

William was a lifetime member of the DAV, American Legion Post 83 in La Porte and Vietnam Veterans of America.  He was a “Mr. Fix-it”, enjoying vintage cars and working on projects at home. William loved his family, was a great father and a wonderful husband.

 

On June 16th, 1967 in Harbert, Michigan he married Susan (Hess) Kennedy who survives.

 

William was preceded in death by his parents.

 

He is survived by his two children, Peter (Jamie) Kennedy and Jennifer Kennedy; sister Sandra Feece; and two grandchildren, Gage and Gavin Kennedy.

 

A visitation and viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2023 at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Road, La Porte, (219) 362-3100.
