Pauline E. Smyers, 76 of Westville, IN, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.

 

She was born July 14, 1946, in La Porte, IN.  Pauline was the daughter of the late Otto and Agnes E. (Wood) Frame.

 

Pauline was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  She enjoyed ceramics, tole painting, and crocheting.  Pauline was formerly in a bowling league at Thunderbird Lanes.

 

She retired as an assembler at Sullair Corp. 

 

Surviving Pauline are her sons, Joseph (Margie) Smyers of Westville and James Smyers of Michigan City; daughters, Shelley Swanson of LaPorte and Tina Smyers of Westville; 7 grandchildren, Todd, Melissa, Alexander, Nicole, Sharrie, Elizabeth, and Kayla; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, John Fame of Osceola; and sister, Kathy Cates of Dayton, OH.

 

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon C. Smyers; parents; sisters, Noren Forester and Betty Wilson; and grandson, Chase Swanson.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2900 Monroe St, La Porte.  Cremation will follow the service.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
