Thomas H. Ream, 82, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 4:45 pm in his home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Pastor Tim Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Thursday at the funeral chapel.    

 

He was born July 14, 1940 in Knox, IN to the late Nicholas and Etta (Davis) Ream. On February 24, 1962 in Winamac, IN he married Ruth Scott who survives in Michigan City, IN.

 

Also surviving are a daughter, Sherri (Walter) Orzech of Michigan City, IN; son, Scott (Sheila) Ream of Demotte, IN; four grandchildren, Amber (Ricky, Jr.) Pawlicke, Amy (Nate) Yahrmatter, Brian (Jessica) Ream and Cassie Campion; six great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and his brother, John (Alice) Ream of Michigan City, IN.

 

He was also preceded in death by 1 sister and 5 brothers. 

 

Thomas was a retired mechanic for the Operating Engineers Local 150 and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a life member of the Operating Engineers Local 150 and enjoyed wood-working and motorcycle riding.
