Patricia Marie Harrold

Patricia Marie Harrold, 63, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Bellevue Medical Center, Bellevue, NE.

   

She was born to the late Thomas and Betty Johnson on October 2, 1958, in Marshalltown IA. After high school she entered the U.S. Navy in 1979. Shortly after her service began, Patricia married William Burton Harrold on November 22, 1980. It was love at first sight.  Their place of union was the same as Patricia’s assigned station in Jacksonville, FL.

 

After her service was dutifully fulfilled as a corpsman during the Gulf War, she was honorably discharged in 1993. She began an additional career of service as a nurse at the Good Samaritan Center in Villisca, IA. Patricia was also a proud member of the Villisca Advent Christian Church. Patricia’s interests included but were in no way limited to playing the piano, watching and cheering on Notre Dame, and spending time with her grandsons. She will always be remembered for her hospitable and nurturing nature, her notorious infectious laugh, and her beautiful smile. Patricia’s family meant the absolute most to her and she has a special place in her own family’s heart for eternity as her beloved memory will continue to bless and guide them.

 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, William "Bill" Harrold; brother, Larry Tener; and sister, Linda Johnson.

 

Patricia is survived by sons, Adam Burton Harrold (Shelby Cervantes) and Kristopher Thomas Harrold; grandsons, Jayden Burton Harrold and Konnor Alan Harrold; brother, Richard (Mickey) Tener; sister; Cindy Dobrovolny; sister-in-law, Carol Tener; and many other loving family and friends.

 

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Inurnment with Military Honors will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
