Dorothy Kramer, 87, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022.      

 

Dorothy was born April 2, 1935, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Alfred and Annabelle (Rahflet) Schoof.

 

On October 22, 1960, Dorothy married Allen Richard Kramer who preceded her in death on May 10, 2015. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church.

 

Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Theresa (John) Mohlke of Wanatah, Indiana; a son, David Kramer of La Porte, Indiana; two grandsons, Greg (Kayleen) Mohlke and Josh (Emily) Mohlke; three great-grandchildren, Henry, Lucy and Madison; a sister, Janice Hadella of La Porte, Indiana; and a brother, Inky (Phyllis) Schoof of Fish Lake, Indiana. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen; a sister, Darlene Hindsley; and a brother, Alfred Schoof, Jr.

 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

 

Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home prior to the Mass.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022, at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, La Porte. Reverend Nate Edquist will officiate. Burial will follow in Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Cemetery.
