Romero "Darwe" Green Sr., 49, Michigan City, Indiana, was accepted into the gates of Heaven, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 2:27 p.m. in I.U. Health University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.

 

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.    

 

He was born December 2, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois, to his mother, Martha Johnson and late father, Ronald Scott.

 

Darwe accepted Christ into his life at a young age. He held many trades, including being a cook and a host of other things. Darwe was a hard working man who enjoyed being around family and helping people out in whichever way he could. He was very laid back but could talk anyone under the bridge.

 

He leaves behind to cherish his surviving mother, Mary Johnson of Michigan City, IN; seven children, Kierra (Robert) Fleming of Menphis, TN, Romero Green Jr. of Chicago, IL, Ashley Green, Miranda Green, and Ebony Green all of Grand Rapids, IA, and Sholanda Green and Shakita Green both of South Bend, IN; two brothers, Andre Green and Antwan Green both of Michigan City, IN; four grandchildren; special cousin/brother, Michael Doyle of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jimmie Askew; father, Ronald Scott; step-father, Eric Johnson; aunt, Onada Doyle; and uncle, Frank Boyd.
