Cecelia "Ceil" Ann Trojanowski

Cecelia "Ceil" Ann Trojanowski, 75, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away from a battle with Pancreatic Cancer at her home with her two daughters (Lisa and Tina) and sister (Regina) by her side on Thursday, October 20, 2022.


She was born February 2, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Alexander Krzyzak and Mary (Zoladz) Krzyzak.


Cecelia got married to John Trojanowski on December 23, 1966. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2009. They were married for 43 years and are now together again.


Christmas was a favorite time for Ceil and every year she would make 100s of homemade Pierogi for friends and family. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and spending time with her close friends and family. She loved caring for her plants and flowers. Her dedication to them was rewarded by the beauty and compliments received of the flowers. Ceil loved music. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She was a very generous person, not only donating to virtually any charity imaginable but also an avid blood donor. She also enjoyed helping her daughter prepare
her classroom for the upcoming school year. Ceil was an animal lover who was especially fond of deer and hummingbirds that she loved watching in her backyard

She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Bill) Woodson-Phillips of La Porte, IN, Tina (Mike Garwood) Trojanowski of La Porte, IN; son, Todd Trojanowski of LaPorte, IN; three grandchildren, AJ (Ariana) Woodson, Olivia Trojanowski, Ashley (Carey) Jones; two sisters, Stella Shuler of Hobart, IN, Regina (David) Wilkerson of MS, brother, John Krzyzak of LaPorte, IN: two great-grandchildren, Willow Woodson and Jackson Jones; and her canine best friend and companion, Bella. 

 

Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents; husband John, and brothers Walter (Bonnie) Krzyzak and Alex Krzyzak Junior. 


Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a memorial service following visitation. High School friend, Bob Todd, will officiate.
