Pauline Lucille Powell, 91, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Pauline was born on March 4, 1931 in La Porte, IN, to Frederick and Neva (Schweitzer) Steinfeldt.

 

On June 6, 1953 in La Porte, she married Robert Powell, who survives.  Also surviving are her sons, Mark Powell of Longmont, CO and Michael Powell of La Porte, IN; 3 grandchildren, Robert Powell of Longmont, CO, Morgan Powell of Brentwood, TN and McKenzie Powell of Rolling Prairie; nephew, David Deveraux; and nieces, Peggy Deveraux-Smith, Shellie Nixon-Games, and Sheila Nixon.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Thelma Krueger; and brother, Dale Steinfeldt.

 

Pauline was a bank teller for many years at La Porte Bank & Trust, La Porte Savings Bank, and later Wells Fargo.  She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Pine Lake Hospital.  Pauline enjoyed gardening and mowing grass.  Most of all, Pauline enjoyed her grandchildren and watching her two granddaughters play volleyball.

 

A Private Graveside Service will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
