Thomas K. Gallagher, 91, Chesterton, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1:50 pm.

 

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1010 Moore Road, Long Beach, Indiana with  Rev. Keith McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo, Michigan with full military honors.  

 

Visitation time will be from 10:30 am -11:00 am, Saturday, October 8, 2022 in Notre Dame Catholic Church.  Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.   

 

He was born May 22, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Thomas J. and Catherine Eleanor (McDermott) Gallagher.

 

On June 6, 1953 in Forest Park, Illinois he married Dolores Cortese who survives Chesterton, Indiana. 

 

Also surviving are two daughters, Karen (Bill) Breen of Michigan City, Indiana, Kathy (Tom) Bollinger of Phoenix, Arizona; three sons, Terrence (Sharon) Gallagher of Appleton, Wisconsin, Thomas C. (Christine) Gallagher of Aurora, Illinois, Michael Gallagher of Cottage Grove, Minnesota; grandchildren, Mandy, Kelly, Billy, Carrie, Ellyse, Erin, Katie, Sean, Shannon, Luke, Drew, Jack, and Emma; great-grandchildren, Drew, Annie, Nora, Brennan, Ryan, Callan, Bailey, Addlyn, Emelia, Brayden, Ashlyn, Patrick, and Sullivan along with a nephew, Rocky; He was preceded in death by his sister, Regina Redfearn and a niece, Cheryl;    

 

Thomas was a veteran of the US Army and retired as a sales representative with 3M Computer.
