Mary Sue Albers, 94, Long Beach, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 600 Franklin Square, Michigan City, IN with Rev. Robert Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 10:00 am, Saturday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born November 26, 1927 in Michigan City, IN to the late Elmer and Iris (Keely) Dunlap. On July 25, 1951 in she married Theodore Albers who preceded her on September 5, 1981.
Surviving are her son, David T. (Lisa) Albers of Michigan City, Indiana; three grandchildren, David (Breghan) Albers of Duneland Beach, IN, Bennett (Bri Behrens) Albers of Chicago, IL and Carli (Alex) Lopez of Long Beach, IN; and five great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jane White.
Mary Sue graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in Boston, MA, and also attended Indiana University. She was a member of the Tri Kappa Sorority, P.E.O. Chapter DF, Service League of Michigan City and the Women of Trinity. Mary Sue volunteered at the Trinity Community Food Pantry and Thrift Shop, Methodist Church Soup Kitchen and the Open Door Health Center.
