Susan Blankenship, 65, of La Porte, Indiana unexpectedly passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

 

Susan was born March 10, 1957, in La Porte, Indiana to Thomas and Carol (Szynal) Spaeth.

 

Susan retired from Federal-Mogul after 25 years of service. She enjoyed going to musicals and singing in a band. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Susan is survived by her daughter, Laurel Blankenship of La Porte, Indiana; her son, Robinson J. (Elena) Semla of Buchanan, Michigan; three grandchildren, Bronko Semla, Liberty Semla, and Edward Semla; and her mother, Carol Spaeth. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Spaeth.

 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana. Reverend Ian Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
