Julie A. Szczesniak, 74, of Westville, Indiana, passed away Friday June 17, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.

 

She was born November 15, 1947 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Dan Cook and Ruth Ann Cook.

 

Julie held many things close to her heart, most importantly hew family and her dog "Tucker". She enjoyed shopping, watching "Wheel of Fortune", and planting and growing her flowers. The family Christmas gatherings were truly an event the entire family looked forward to each year.

 

She is survived by her husband Curtis; son, Erik (Karen) Jedrysek of La Porte, IN; brother, William (Denise) Cook of La Porte, IN; four sisters, Christine Doran of La Porte, IN, Vicki Marshall of la Porter, IN, Terri (Gary) Smith of La Porte, IN, Dana (Byron) Richardson of La Porte, IN; sister-in-law Carla (Gary) of Brownsburg IN, two grandchildren, Zachary, Puma; 14 nephews and nieces, Kevin, Jonni, Sam, Joey, Bryan, Christopher, Lana, Serena, Jena, Lindsay, Brent, Andrew, Thomas, Stephen, and many great nieces and great nephews.

 

Julie was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Kyle.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will host a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, June 22, from 4 PM until 6 PM. Inurnment of cremated remains will be held at a later date.
