Lee C. Meyer, 71, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022 at 8:58 am in his home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, June 20, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Dr. Ericka Parkinson Kilbourne officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born July 12, 1950 in Michigan City, IN to the late Charles and Beulah (Will) Meyer. On June 7, 1987 in Michigan City, IN he married Laura Henckel who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are a step-daughter, Angie (Zig) Resiak of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Aaron, Christian and Anna; and three great-grandchildren, Ava, Michael and Bryan.
He was also preceded in death by his step-son, Tony DiGiacomo; and two brothers, Brian and Jack Meyer.
Lee was a well-known local musician and music instructor. He received his Masters of Music Degree from the American Conservatory in Chicago, IL. He was the director of the Michigan City Community Chorus and involved with Monday Musicale and several local theatre groups.
