Douglas Eugene Swanson, 59, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly at 1:05 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Plymouth.

 

He was born October 2, 1962, in La Porte, Indiana, to Danny and Sherry (Deardurff) Swanson.

 

Surviving are his four siblings, Ray Swanson and Shelley (Bill) Armour both of La Porte, Danny (Lacy) Swanson of Indianapolis, and Matt (Tosha) Swanson of Wabash.

 

Preceding in death were his parents, Danny Swanson and Sherry Siddall; and one nephew, Chase Swanson.

 

A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100. Visitation and viewing will be held from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Patton Cemetery, La Porte.
