Stanley A. Kozlowski

Stanley A. Kozlowski, 69, of New Buffalo, Michigan, passed away peacefully at 4:00 a.m., Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Miller’s Merry Manor, New Carlisle.

 

He was born July 16, 1952, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Stanley and Jean (Bither) Kozlowski.

 

Stanley graduated from New Buffalo High School in 1970. He worked at Allis-Chalmers in La Porte, up until it was closed down, after he drove for Brown Inc./Bulk Transport until his retirement. Stanley owned Joe’s Bar & Grill for twenty-five years until it was sold. He was a member of the John Franklin Miller American Legion Post 37, and was the founding member of Four A’s Car Club. Stanley loved remodeling or building anything and enjoyed his antique cars. He was considered the hardest working, kindest loving person that you could ever ask for. Stanley enjoyed making people laugh, and he loved his family and friends with all his heart. He had many friends that were very dear to him. Stanley will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is God’s angel now.

 

On July 1, 1972, in Michigan City, Indiana, he married Renee (Malott) Kozlowski, who survives. July of this year, they would have celebrated 50 years being married.

Also surviving are his daughter, Allison Bell of New Buffalo, MI; grandchildren, Renee A. Kraus of Michigan City and Alexander and Lily both of New Buffalo, MI; and brother, Rick Kozlowski of New Buffalo.

 

Preceding in death were his parents; sister, Connie Kozlowski; and grandson, William E. Kraus IV.

 

A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100.
