Donald Lee Rinker

Donald Lee Rinker, devoted, Husband, Father, and Papa, 74, of Union Mills, Indiana passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022.

 

Donald was born August 16, 1947, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Raymond and Louise (Hayter) Rinker.

 

On October 24, 1970, Donald married Suzanne Beahler who survives. Donald is also survived by a son, Brett (Kynda) Rinker of Yorktown, Indiana; three daughters, Kelly (Brandon) Adair of Frankfort, Indiana, Kara (Sean) Schoch of Fishers, Indiana, and Andrea (Rick) Welsh of La Porte, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, Jack Welsh, Abby Welsh, Kate Welsh, Sophie Schoch, Emma Rinker, Hope Welsh, Max Adair, Alli Adair, Ellie Schoch, Anna Rinker, and Cooper Adair; two sisters, Arlene (Kenny) Sims of Hanna, Indiana and Linda (Dave) DeLau of Union Mills, Indiana; a brother, Ray (Deb) Rinker of Hanna, Indiana and mother-in-law, Rosaline Blastick of Union Mills, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Ronald Rinker, Faye Sellers, and Kaye Bolakowski, and father-in-law, William Beahler.

 

Donald retired after 27 years with La Porte Transit as a driver. After his retirement, he drove a bus for South Central. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wanatah, Indiana. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion, Hanna Post #472.

 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, 204 South Ohio Street, Wanatah, Indiana 46390.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul at Sacred Heart Church, 204 South Ohio Street, Wanatah, Indiana 46390.
