Pauline Faye Spencer

Pauline Faye Spencer, 85, of La Porte, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Trail Creek Place.

 

Pauline was born on December 21, 1936 in Hanna, IN, to George and Emma (Grassmyer) Masterson.

 

On January 14, 1956, in La Porte, IN, she married Robert "Bob" Lewis who preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Mike (Sherry) Spencer of La Porte and Gayle Collette of La Porte; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Krone of La Porte, Josh (Bree) Freese of La Porte, Alyssa (Dillon) Dicus of Plymouth, IN, and Seth Spencer of La Porte; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis (Don) Bradfield of Lee, FL and Sharon Cline of Hebron, IN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Gregory Spencer; 6 brothers, Gerald, Wesley, Donald, Roland, George Jr. and twin brother, Paul; and 6 sisters, Ardell, Georgia, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Darlene, and Eunice.

 

Pauline retired from Berkel, Inc., La Porte, in 1999, where she worked for Human Resources for 11 years. She was previously employed for 10 years at Fenkers Furniture. Pauline was a member of the Presbyterian Church of La Porte, Charm 'N Chatter Home Extension Club, American Legion Auxiliary Post 83 and the Polish Falcons Club. She loved working with crafts of many kinds, dealing with antiques, attending auctions, and collecting antique dolls.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. 

 

Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church of La Porte, 307 Kingsbury Ave., La Porte, IN  46350.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (Greg) Graham of Columbia, TN; brother, Eugene Boyd of Michigan City, IN; niece, Jeannie (Alan) Bernstein; nephew, Chris (Kristin) Graham; two Great-Nieces, Erica Hardy, and Piper Graham, and cousin Jo Lute. As well as friends:  Jim Pape, Carl “Whazz” Wisnieski and many more.

 

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. Cremation has taken place and the family will host a memorial service at a later date.
