James Allen Eldridge, 90, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Monday March 21, 2022 at his home in La Porte, IN.

 

He was born December 23, 1931 in White Pigeon, Michigan, the son of Paul D. Eldridge and Margaret (McMillen) Eldridge.

 

Jim was a practicing Anglican Catholic Church and Jim was the true outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, hunting deer and raccoons. This was a skill he shared with his family as well. He was in construction management and was very proud of the malls he constructed throughout the country having the position of V.P. of Construction for Bloomingdale's of NY. But most importantly Jim read his bible daily, loved his God, and truly enjoyed his time with his family. He will be truly missed.

 

On October 25m 1952, in Elkhart, IN, he married Carlie (Heffner) Eldridge who survives.

 

He is also survived by his son, James D. Eldridge of La Porte, IN; daughter, Brenda A. (Jim) Sciba of Bristol, IN; brother, Richard (Sharon) Eldridge; seven grandchildren, Nik (Shiela), Addam (Laura), Jessika (Nate) Ellett, Carissa, Jamie (Sarah), Daniel, Elise; and 9 great-grandchildren.

 

James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Eldridge.

 

A life celebration will be held at a later date, cremation has taken place.
