Richard Joseph Lisak

Richard Joseph Lisak, 86, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 8:14 am in Aperion Care - Michigan City.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 21, 2022 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with  Rev. David Kime officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Monday in the Legacy Center of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements    

 

He was born May 18, 1935 in Michigan City, IN to the late Stephen and Stella (Losinski) Lisak. On October 4, 1958 in Michigan City, IN he married Dorothy Boyan who survives in Michigan City, IN.

 

Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa (Kelan) Nowak of La Porte, IN; two sons, David (Barb) Lisak of Valparaiso, IN and Rick Lisak of Crown Point, IN; nine grandchildren, Jessica Lisak, Eric (Kendra) Lisak, Brianna Lisak, Tyler Nowak, Brittany (Paul) Flores, Callie (Nick Higgins) Nowak, William (Annie Banks) Lisak, Matthew Lisak and Sarah Lisak; three great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law Julie Lisak.

 

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Norbert Lisak.   

 

Richard had worked at Interroyal Corp and retired from Dwyer Instruments. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church where is was also an Usher and loved to spend time with his family. He was a volunteer in the wheelchair program of Catholic Charities and served in the U.S. Army Reserves in the 542nd Transportation Unit.
