John “Jack” A. Holloway Jr, 90, of La Porte, passed away March 15, 2022.  John was born in La Porte, Indiana June 26, 1931, to John A. and Lucille (Arndt) Holloway Sr. 

 

John was a graduate of La Porte High School.  Following graduation, he attended Barber School in Indianapolis.   He worked as a barber for 25 years. He was a gifted musician and painter. He also was a Floral Designer for Lunchtman in Michigan City and Angelo Bernacchi Greenhouse in La Porte.  He enjoyed working in his gardens which were featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. He enjoyed feeding the birds and deer.

 

John is survived by his cousins and friends.

 

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Pine Lake Cemetery. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate.

 

Arrangements for John have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte.
