Lisa K. Main Hazinski, 61, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly at 5:11 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022 in her home.
She was born in April of 1960, in New Carlisle, Indiana, to Kenneth and Betty Lou (Davison) Main.
Everyone who knew her saw her love for her children and her pets. She had been an animal lover her whole life and was never without a dog or cat(s) around the house. She would feed the chipmunks that took up shelter in her garage and ultimately in her car’s hood. Her favorite flowers, Tulips, bloomed in early Spring leading to her favorite time of year. During the Summer, she loved to be on the pontoon taking in sun rays on Pine Lake. She enjoyed rides on the four-wheeler in Wisconsin and simply relaxing by the pool. Concerts were another year-long activity she enjoyed attending and she never missed an opportunity to take a ride on a tilt a whirl. She always enjoyed being around people and was compassionate to everyone whether you knew her or not. Lisa was a registered nurse and always made her patients feel comfortable with her smile and sense of humor.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Jeff Helms of La Porte, IN (including his three children, Jason, Meagan, and Travis) and her three children, Chad (Kristen) of Mesa, AZ, Brooke (Shawn) of South Bend, IN and Brandon (Lynette) of Granger, IN; four grandchildren, Elise, Conner, Dylan, and Dawson; and four siblings, Randy, Scott, Debby, and Carla. She would also want to include her grand dog, Monte!
In lieu of a viewing and visitation services, Lisa will be cremated and her family plans to spread her ashes in the places she loved the most. A private memorial gathering will be held. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
