Robert L. Keppen

Robert L. Keppen,  65, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at 8:21 a.m. in his home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, with Rev. Mike Yadron officiating. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

 

He was born June 3, 1956, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Roger and Eunice (Burkhart) Keppen. On May 15, 1976, in Gary, Indiana, he married Joan Morrison, who survives in Trail Creek, Indiana.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Jamie (Michael) Schroll of Noblesville, Indiana, and Julie (Brian) Litherland of Trail Creek, Indiana; son, Jerry Keppen of La Porte, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jessica, Riley, Brody, Owen, and Leo.

 

He was also preceded in death by his grandchild, Jacob; sister, Barbara Gondeck; brother, Thomas Keppen; and his daughter-in-law, Melissa Keppen.

 

Robert was a union representative for TCU. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling and playing softball. Robert was a proud American and union representative.
