Eleanor "Ellie"Roberts, December 14, 1930-February 22, 2022, 91, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at her home in La Porte, IN.

 

She was born December 14, 1930 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Samuel Christopher Serena and Florence (Young) Serena.

 

Eleanor led a full and fun life. Being a triplet, she always was getting in to something. She was very passionate about pro-football and when it was game time you had to be in your seat and ready to go. She was a true Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco Forty-Niner's fan. She also loved Disney and Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Among other things she enjoyed reading ghost stories, crocheting, and spending time in her garden. But what she truly loved were her grand babies and her family.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Danny) Maxwell of La Porte, IN; two sons, Raymond Moore of La Porte, IN, Eugene (Diane) Moore of Portage, IN; eight grandchildren, Daniel (Shelrae), Tim (Thelma), Tabitha, Crystal, Paul (Amy), David (Lisa), Scott (Mary), Laura (Donny); seven great-grandchildren, Naru, Jordon, Sammie, Jake, Emma, Ethan, Hailey; great-great-grandchild, Deavan;

 

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a son, Paul "Dan" Moore, triplet brothers - John "Jack" W. Serena, and Harry "Bob" R. Serena, and brothers, Carl and Elmer Serena.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, February 25 from 11 AM until 1 PM.  A life celebration will be held at the funeral home at 1 PM, with Pastor Tim _______officiating.  Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
