Brenda Marie Collins, September 15, 1967 – February 5, 2022, age 54, of La Porte, Indiana passed away at 7:27 p.m., on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Northwest Health, La Porte after a short, but strong battle with cancer.

 

She was born September 15, 1967, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Kathleen A. Close and Michael E. Collins.

 

Surviving are her three sons, Matthew (Kristen) Murphy of La Porte, Bryan Murphy of Muncie, IN, and Andrew Murphy of Grand Rapids, MI; the children’s father, Paul Murphy of La Porte; two sisters, Deborah A. Collins and Michelle (Paul) Kroll, both of La Porte; several nieces and nephews; three grandchildren; and her ex-husband, Michael Williams of La Porte who supported her through her illness.

 

Preceding in death were her grandparents, Ruth and Francis Collins, and Mary Elaine Michael and Merle Close.

 

Cremation will take place.  Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
