Paul Lisak

Paul Lisak, 87, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 8:35 am in Aperion Care -  Michigan City.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, February 11, 2022, at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN, with Rev. David Kime officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Friday at the Queen of All Saints Legacy Center. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN, is handling arrangements.    

 

He was born August 17, 1934, in Michigan City, IN, to the late Ben and Dorothy (Peaslee) Lisak. On September 24, 1955, in Michigan City, IN, he married Marlene Diedrich, who preceded him on June 10, 2021.

 

Surviving are a daughter, Debra (David) Holtzlander of Land O' Lakes, FL; son, Robert Lisak of Michigan City, IN; eight grandchildren, Alison (Chris) Yagelski, Todd Lisak, Timothy Lisak, Andrew Lisak, Sean (Rachel) Smith, Jeffrey (Missy) Holtzlander, Todd (Adrienne) Holtzlander and Matthew (Ashley) Holtzlander; 12 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Lee Lisak of California.

 

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dan Lisak; sister, Dayda Lisak; and grandson, Ryan Smith.  

 

Paul retired as a safety engineer at NIPSCO and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of Queen of All Saint's Catholic Church, American Legion Skwiat Post 451, and the St. Joseph Young Men's Society. Paul was a Purdue University graduate and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid Notre Dame fan.
