Margaret Rebich, 96, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 12:15 am in Golden Living Center - Fountainview Terrace, La Porte, IN.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, February 4, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Jordan Fetcko officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Chesterton IN.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN 46360.    

 

She was born November 12, 1925 in Chesterton, Indiana to the late Leo and Rose (Losinski) Janowski. On July 30, 1960 in Michigan City, IN she married Peter Rebich, Jr. who preceded her on March 9, 2009.

 

Surviving are son, Richard (Sandra) Rebich of Michigan City, Indiana; step-daughter, Patricia (Patrick) Babcock of Bloomington, Indiana; step-son, Samuel (Sherry) Rebich of Valparaiso, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Antoinette Semla of Michigan City, Indiana. 

 

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Angeline Satkoski and Frances Bootcheck; and brother, Leonard Janowski. 

 

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Margaret assisted families with babysitting and housecleaning.  She enjoyed bingo and was a mall walker for many years.
