Althea Pearl Williams, 90, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Miller's Merry Manor in New Carlisle.

 

Althea was born on January 22, 1932, in Tefft, IN, to Clarance and Erna (Krug) Florer.

 

On August 16, 1952, Althea married George Williams, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2017.  Surviving Althea are her 3 children, Mark (Janet) Williams of Walkerton, Vicki (Lex) McEathron of La Porte, and Sherri Hahn of La Porte; grandchildren, Jessica (Jamie) Rangel and Alex (Heidi) McEathron; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mayme Vanderberg, Carl Florer, Howard Florer, and Ronald (Ellen) Florer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Craig Allen Williams; sister, Juanita (Don) Knoll; and son-in-law, Michael Hahn.

 

Althea was an Office Manager for many years and worked at the Allis-Chalmers Corp., J. F. & G. Farm Equipment, Allis-Chalmers Tractor Sales, Fountainview Nursing Home, Walkerton Livestock Sales, J. B. Williams & Sons, Don George Ford, and Kabelins.  She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Church of God.  Althea enjoyed gardening, reading Christian books, watching Christian TV programs, and attending church.  She especially loved her children and grandchildren. 

 

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A Celebration of Life Memorial Service at Mill Creek Baptist Church will be held at a later date.

 

Althea was a fierce prayer warrior who led many to Jesus Christ.  She was a strong woman of God.  Althea touched so many lives and was a much loved and cherished matriarch of her family.  She unconditionally loved everyone.  Althea is now home with Jesus.  Amen.
