Gregory Scott Heiden, April 23, 1966 – January 14, 2022, 55, passed on January 14, 2022 at the Heart-to-Heart Health Center, Newburgh, IN.

 

He was born April 23, 1966 at the Fairview Hospital in La Porte, Indiana.

 

Gregory was a very kind individual who loved animals and people.  He participated in 4-H, loved the county fair, Purdue sports, Chicago White Sox, NASCAR, and the La Porte Slicers teams. He enjoyed country music, his John Deere collection, and his favorite food was Taco Bell. Gregory struggled daily to have a reasonable life as is possible with his disabilities. In spite of his disadvantages, he had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

 

He is survived by his father, Ronald W. Heiden (Susan Bargholz deceased); brother, David P. Heiden of Evansville, IN, and sister, Katrina J. (Patrick) Wieland of Coral Springs, FL; and uncles, Larry (Barb) Heiden of Sarasota, FL, Donald (Mary) Heiden of Mishawaka, IN, Jerry Otter of Washington, Stephen Malec of South Bend, IN, Kevin (Tammy) Bargholz of La Porte, IN; and many cousins across the country.

 

Preceding in death were his aunts, Jody Otter, and Pam Malec.

 

Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service was held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte.
