Jack L. Dillard, 70, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 7:10 p.m., Monday, January 17, 2022 in his home.
He was born March 31, 1951, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Bill and Ramona (May) Dillard.
Jack was a former owner of Wholesale Carpet, Kingsbury. Jack honorably served in the United States Army he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He was a VFW member, Fish Lake. Jack enjoyed horses, old cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles, football and also sponsored Little League for 18 years. He dearly loved his granddaughters.
On January 26, 1991, he married Jennifer (Elliott) Dillard, who survives.
Surviving are his three children, Casey (Kolleen) Woods of La Porte, Cole (Alyssa) Woods of Fort Wayne, Kyle Dillard of Kingsbury; two stepchildren, Denise Morrison of La Porte, and Elliot Karbowski of Kentucky; one brother, Larry (Paula) Dillard of Kingsbury; one sister, Betty (David) Durham of Kingsbury; four grandchildren, Tinley, Remi, Savannah, and Scarlett; and uncle, Michael (May) Pulaski of Wisconsin.
Preceding in death were his parents; and two brothers, Gary and Billy Dillard.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Kingsbury Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
