Betty Ann Peterson, 68, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Northwest Health, La Porte.

 

Betty was born on August 30, 1953 in La Porte, IN, to Stanley and Allene (Peterson) Chlebowski.

 

Surviving Betty are her children, Paul (Brandee) Peterson of Cape Coral, FL and Jackie (Danny Koontz) Peterson of Michigan City; 4 grandchildren, Drew Jones of Greenfield, Alexis Schoenherr of Indianapolis, Christopher Peterson of Cape Coral, FL, and Jennifer (Libby) Koontz of Michigan City; 1 great-grandchild, Madelynn Schoenherr; siblings, Sharen Nell of Smyrna, TN, Terry (Harold) Peterson of La Porte, Bev Johnson of La Porte, and Dave (Donna) Chlebowski of Rolling Prairie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded by her parents; son, Christopher Peterson; great-grandson, Greyson Matthew Via; and brother, Stanley Chlebowski.

 

Betty was a laborer for many years at Ikelite in Indianapolis.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

 

A time of visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
