Eugene Ferrell, Jr., 73, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 10:40 am in his home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Apostle Vera Roberts officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

 

He was born June 1, 1948, in Michigan City, IN to the late Eugene and Corrine (Phillips) Ferrell, Sr.

 

Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Lillian) Ferrell, III of Michigan City, IN and Gerard Ferrell of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren, Amber Harris of Birmingham, AL, Regine Ferrell of Michigan City, IN, Jodi Ferrell of Michigan City, IN, Thomas Ferrell, IV. of Michigan City, IN and Pamella Ferrell of Chicago, IL; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Paige and Pat Lepsher; and cousins, Jeff, Laura, Doris, Bert, Martha, and Loretta.

 

He was also preceded in death by sisters, Liz, Ruth, Naomi, Allane, Ellen Ruth, and Dorothy; and brothers, Odell and J.C. 

 

Eugene retired as a supervisor at Omni Filters, South Chicago, IL. He enjoyed playing chess and working with his hands.
