Robert "Butch" C. Siford, 83, of Rolling Prairie, passed away, with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Miller Health and Rehab.
Butch was born on April 1, 1938 in La Porte, IN, to Robert D. and Jane (Traver) Siford.
On May 21, 1966, he married Grace Lenig, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Daniel "Spike" (Diane) Siford and Stacey (Kris) Moody, all of Rolling Prairie; 4 grandchildren, Riley Moody of Knoxville, TN, Sydney Moody of West Lafayette, Abbey Siford of Muncie, and Bobby Siford of Bloomington; and brother, Jack Siford of Largo, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Butch was a sign painter with Burkhart Advertising, retiring after 40 years. He was an avid history buff, particularly the WW II era and enjoyed New Prairie football. Butch was a member of the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, the La Porte High School Football Hall of Fame, and the Scottish Rite. He was a Master Mason and an honorary Kankakee Volunteer Firefighter.
Family was of great importance to Butch; he loved them dearly. Butch shared 55 years of marriage with his "Lovely Grace Marie". He also treasured his grandchildren, whom he enjoyed creating special memories with supporting their activities.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating. Burial will follow at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 - 7 p.m. (CST) on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 10 a.m. (CST) until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
