Robert E. "Bob" Fraze, 74, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 6:45 pm in his home.

 

Private services were conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN handled arrangements.    

 

He was born January 14, 1947, in Michigan City, IN to the late Ernest and Evelyn (McNew) Fraze. On November 5, 1994, he married Dawn Garrett Cioch who survives in Michigan City.

 

Also surviving are six children, Kimberly Kozera, Kerry (Tommy Hughes) Fraze, Cari (Art) Hanson, Kristina (Mark) Raymond, Kevin Fraze, and Michael (Heather) Cioch; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and two sisters, Judy (Jerry, deceased) Corley and Linda (Stan) Freed; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Fraze.

 

Bob was the former co-owner of Owens Motor Supply in Michigan City and LaPorte, IN, and was a U.S.. Army Veteran. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, watching his grandchildren participate in Quarter Midget racing and 4-H Draft Horses, and especially spending time at home with his wife. Bob was a talented craftsman in his free time and in retirement he joked that his new job was "FMK" (for my kids) construction.
