Sharon Bucheit, 80, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, December 20, 2021. 

 

Sharon was born July 9, 1941, to the late Henry and Violet (Stenzil) Brand.

On May 20, 1967, Sharon married Robert Bucheit who survives.

 

Sharon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Michigan City, Indiana. She was a Girl Scout leader in La Porte, Indiana. She had worked at the Creekwood Inn from the late 1980's to the early 2000's. Sharon loved to read, scrapbook, and go camping. She was also a homemaker.

 

She is survived by her husband, Bob; their children, Patti (Mark) Gasper of Elkhart, Indiana, Michael (Kimberly) Bucheit of Chesterton, Indiana, Kristi (Aaron) Frick of Elkhart, Indiana, and Stephen Bucheit of Hanoi, Vietnam; and five grandchildren, Connor Gasper, Hannah Gasper, Ava Frick, Gavin Frick, and Elsa Frick.

 

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte Indiana 46350. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the La Porte County Library, 904 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350.
