Gilbert Hoops, 86, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021.

 

Gilbert was born August 28, 1935, in Linton Indiana to Earl Jessie Hoops and Lula Mae (Miller) Hoops who preceded him in death. 

 

Gilbert worked at Teledyne Casting from the age of 15 years old until he retired.

Gilbert is survived by his daughters; Diana Hoops (Andrew Mitchell), Shellie Hoops, and Lori Hoops.

 

He was preceded in death by daughters; Thelma Ellis, Terri McLaughlin; sons, Kenneth, Larry, David, Robert Hoops; siblings, Jesse Hoops, Melba Owens, Wilma Stephens, Georgia Cunningham, Willis Hoops, Ada Hoops, Earl Hoops, Doris Ann Hoops. He was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Marie Hoops. 

Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  Burial will follow at Tracy Cemetery in Hamlet.
