Donna Mae Lewis,  June 4, 1934-December 9, 2021, 87, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 at St. Anthony's Franciscan Health in Michigan City, IN.

 

She was born June 4, 1934 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Bill Rowland and Ethel (Jenkins) Rowland.

 

Donna was a member of the Pentecostal Church and followed the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. God was Donna's life. She was always at revivals, church gatherings, and if the church doors were open, she was there attending. She enjoyed while she could, baking her famous biscuits. If Donna was going out to eat her favorite place to visit was Burger King for a Whopper. Donna's passions were God, Church, and her family. 

 

She is survived by her children and grandchildren of Michigan City, IN; two daughters, Tina Lewis, Tammy Woolum; three sisters, Beverly Novak, Shirley Kohler, Nancy Scott; four sons, Kevin Lewis, Keith Lewis, Roger Wingard, Kent Lewis; twenty-seven grandchildren, Kevin II, Megan, Heather, Amanda, Mindy, Tanya, Jordan, Jessica, Micheal, Christina, Shane, Mark, Mike, Jenny, Sue, Bruce, Brian, Robin, Krystal, Kelly, Katheryn, Brandon, Chad, Craig, Stephanie, Kim, Shannon.

 

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Roger, her parents, sons, Rick, Danny, and Craig Wingard; sister, Linda Ballenger, grandchildren, Justin, Adam, and Christopher.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City on Thursday, December 16 at 11am with Pastor Carrol officiating.
