Laurel Louise Kublick

Laurel Louise Kublick, November 21, 1949-December 5, 2021,  72, of New Carlisle, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.

 

She was born November 21, 1949 in St. Joseph Co, Indiana, the daughter of Henry Ward and Delores (Butler) Ward.

 

Laurelwasa 1968 graduate ofNew Carlisle High School and attended Ozark Bible College. She was a member and loved attending the Sauktown Church of Christ. She was a former youth leader of the church. She also was a director of the Vacation Bible School as well as a teacher. She taught Sunday school and junior church as long as she could.  Laurel was very passionate about being a foster parent and did so for nine and a half years. Her passion continued with being a caregiver to family and friends and was a hospice volunteer. She was involved with the Diabetic support group at United Health Services, a leader of the Michiana Christian Ladies Fellowship and co- leader of the Christ’s Singles Group. She enjoyed spending time talking to family and friends on the phone reading the bible and listening to Christian radio with them. Laurel was an example to her friends and loved ones of the love of Jesus Christ through her sweet spirit and Christian example. Her greatest desire was to love God, love others and take as many people as she could to heaven to be with her there.

 

On August 28, 1971, in Mill Creek, IN, she married the love of her life Fred Lynn Kublick who preceded in death March 11, 1998.

 

She is survived by her sister, Thelma (Larry) Truex of New Carlisle, IN; brother, Robin (Debbie) Ward of Niles, MI; sister-in-law, Mary (Bob) Garver of Lansing, MI; and many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.

 

Laurel was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lauri Lynn Kublick; brother, Myron Ward, Sr.; sister, Donna Sue Ward-Hasty, Sister-in-Law, Sharon Ward.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, December 13 from 4-7 (CST)and at the Sauktown Church of Christ on Tuesday, December 14, from 10:00 am (CST), until time of service.  A life celebration will be held at the Sauktown Church on Tuesday, December 14 at 11 am, (CST) with Pastor George Bond officiating.  Interment will follow at the Sauktown Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana.
