Loretta M. Curtis

Loretta M. Curtis, 93, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. She was born on August 16, 1928, in Michigan City, Indiana to Max and Bernice (Gytka) Podgorski. On February 7, 1948, Loretta married Lloyd Curtis, Jr. who preceded her in death on May 2, 2000.


She is survived by her children, Cynthia (the late James) Brown of Texas, Greg (Debi) Curtis of Florida, Lynn (Richard) Jackson and Anthony (Christine) Curtis of La Porte, Indiana; grandchildren, Amy (Garrett) Temple, Julie Austin, Kimberly (Andrew) Davis, Kristy (Jeff) Caudill, Eric (Mary) Jackson, Adam (Nacole) Jackson; great grandchildren, Landry & Collin Temple, Cain & Zachary Austin, Ava, Owen & Charlie Davis, Faith & Brennen Caudill, Amber & Mikaelah Jackson, Ashton, Bailey, Brayden, Damen (Stevie) Jackson, Blake Curtis; two great great-grandchildren, Zane & Declan Jackson; several nieces and nephews; a twin sister, Lorraine Wozniak; a brother, Arthur Podgorski; and sister-in-law, Norma Podgorski.


She was preceded in death by her husband, a great-great-granddaughter, Amara, a brother, Gerald Podgorski, and brother-in-law, Chet Wozniak.


Loretta loved to travel and spend winters in Florida. She lived a great life where she enjoyed doing crafts, playing bingo, euchre and golf. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church in La Porte.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.
