Deana Murray, 92, of La Porte, Indiana passed away, Monday, November 29, 2021.

 

Deana was born June 3, 1929, to the late John and Marie (Prince) Demas.

 

On November 16, 1946, Deana married Kenneth D. Murray who preceded her in death on October 16, 1991.

 

Deana worked at American Rubber as an inspector and vulcanizer. She bowled in the senior league into her late 80’s, was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, volunteered at St. John’s Thrift Shop, a member of Circle 8 of St. John’s and helped with funeral luncheons.

 

Deana is survived by her two daughters, Sharon (Steve) Heniser, of Cicero, Indiana and Connie (Harold “Pee-Wee”) Lawrence, of Brookston, Indiana; two sons, Russ (Susan) Murray of Columbus, Ohio and John Murray of La Porte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, John (Kim) Murray, Tracy (Tim) Novak, Marc (Jen) Heniser, Michael (Shawna) Heniser, Nichole Lawrence, Holly Lawrence, Cody (Jessica) Lawrence; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Toni Mushinski of Plainfield, Indiana and Angie Kmiecik of Michigan City, Indiana; and two half-sisters, Patsy and Millie.

 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the funeral home.  Reverend Dr. Ken Schaeffer will officiate.  Burial will follow in Swan Lake Cemetery, Michigan City.
