Roger L. Pedzinski

Roger L. Pedzinski, 83, of La Porte, passed away unexpectedly at 6:53 p.m., Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in his home.

 

He was born November 20, 1937, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Louis and Beulah (Heins) Pedzinski.

 

Roger worked at the Budd Company in Gary for many years and then at PNC, where he took early retirement to care for his longtime companion, Kathleen Seip, when she became ill, until she preceded him in death in 2015.

 

Also preceding in death were his parents; and two siblings, Myron Pedzinski and Gayle Hart.

 

Surviving are his four children, Darlene (Scott) Games of Bacliff, TX, Brenda Perrin of Michigan City and Deanna Butzler-Pedzinski and Greg (Venise) Pedzinski both of Michigan City; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

 

He shared a special bond with granddaughter, Amber Grantham and cherished the time they spent together.

 

Cremation will take place. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100 is caring for the arrangements.
