Shelly Ann Lapczynski, 50, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

 

She was born on August 29, 1971, in Michigan City to Arthur Lapczynski of Rolling Prairie and the late Phyllis J. (Schneider) Lapczynski who preceded her in death on January 15, 2021.

 

Shelly was employed as an LPN with Life Care Center of Michigan City. She attended Purdue Northwest and graduated from Ivy Tech as an LPN. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in New Carlisle, Indiana, the American Legion Post 297, New Carlisle, Indiana and enjoyed traveling.

 

Shelly is survived by her children, Alvie (Sarah) Ellenwine of Niles, Michigan, Bronson (Destiny) Ellenwine of La Porte, Drake Ellenwine of Hudson Lake; a granddaughter, Ivyanna Ellenwine; a sister, Gina (Scott) DeMeyer of New Carlisle; and her fiancé, Kevin Rood of Rolling Prairie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Ellenwine, and her mother.

 

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 55756 Tulip Road, New Carlisle, Indiana 46552. Reverend Bob Garrow will officiate. Please note, ALL TIMES ARE CST. 

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children who cared for Dustin and the family in their time of need, 30 S. Meridian St #200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
