Dawn Marie Jenner, October 22, 1977-October 8, 2021,  43, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday October 8, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

 

She was born October 22, 1977 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Therlo Jenner and Marcia (Martine) Jenner.

 

 Dawn, a lifetime resident of the area, was a member of Galena Baptist Church, La Porte. Throughout her life she enjoyed listening and singing to all kinds of music, especially country gospel.  As a child, Dawn loved to draw with colors and since pink was her favorite color, there were many pink drawings.  She also loved pink Starburst candies. She and her mom would travel in the car, listening to music and go shopping.  She brought much joy, love and happiness into their home and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

 

Dawn is survived by her mother, Marcia Jenner of Michigan City; brother, Clem (Monica) Jenner of Michigan City, IN; sister, Kim Sammelman of La Porte, IN; nieces and nephews Jackie and Dexter Jenner; Ashley and Nicole Sammelman, Scott and Chris Nofel and Josh Layman;

 

Dawn was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Tammy Layman.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 p.m., with Pastor Jason Burrick, Friendship Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will take place.
