Maria Auxilio Macias

Maria Auxilio Macias, 69, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.

 

She was born November 8, 1951 in Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Salvador Macias and Micaela (Miramontes) Macias. Maria came to La Porte in 1994 from Mexico. A catholic, she was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in La Porte.

 

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Maria is survived by a large family, including her mother; her children, Luz Elena (Filimon) Martinez of Kingsbury, IN, Raul (Angelica) Carrillo of La Porte, Maria de Lourdes Carrillo of Michigan City, Marie Patricia (Cesar) Diaz of Rockford, IL, Alfredo (Angeles) Carrillo of Three Oaks, MI,, Elemuel (Josemaria) Carrillo of Lake Station, IN, Luis Angel (Patricia) Carrillo of Mexico; four brothers, Rodolfo (Irma) Macias of East Chicago, IL, Genero (Maria) Macias of Lake Station, IN, Rosendo Macias of Lake Station, IN, Salvador (Marisela) Macias of Lake Station, IN; three sisters, Rosalina (Vicente) of Lake Station, IL, Lusita Campos of AZ, Maria Refujio (Juan) Pinto of Lowell, IN; grandchildren, Luz Angelica Martinez, Liliana Guadalupe Martinez, Miguel Angel Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Leslie Alejandra, Raul Carrillo Jr.,Jasmine and Ruby Carrillo, Alejandro Del Real, Maria Lupita Del Real, Anthony Louis Villa, Angela Marie Villa, and Isabella Rose Villa, Jayden Skylar Diaz, Uriel Diaz, Jose Gabriel Bautizta, Salvador Guzman, Gabriel Guzman III, Karla Maldonado, Julia Maldonado, Alfredo Carrillo Jr., Cesar Andy Carrillo, Ricky RC Carrillo, Eli Carrillo, Melanie Carrillo, Aiden Carrillo, Jayl Gabrielle Carrillo, Josiah Ruiz, Luis Ismael Carrillo, Gabriel Carrillo Athziri Gexemani; 1 great- grandchild, Andres Maldonado.

 

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Gabriel Carrillo; her father Salvador Macias; and two sons Juan Carrillo and Gabriel Carrillo, Jr.

 

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday (tomorrow) September 23, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, La Porte. Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte.
