Dennis E. Barger, III, 20, of Michigan City, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Franciscan Health Michigan City.

 

Dennis was born on January 2, 2001 in Michigan City, IN, to Dennis Eugene Barger, Jr. and Amber Lynn Hartke.

 

Surviving Dennis are his parents, Dennis E. (Jackie) Barger, Jr. and Amber Hartke; brothers, Owen Barger, Kodiak Grayam, and Ervin Devaux; sisters, Stephanie (Jeremy) Blacksten, Tabitha Heuck, Kara Devaux, Jennifer Devaux, and Kalia Grayam; grandmothers, Carol R. Barger and Jackie Murray; fiance, Krissy Kramer; Aunts, Sarah (Allen) Murray, Janet Hartke, and Andrea (Tom) Schmidt; Uncle, Mike (Amy) Barger; 3 nephews, Loklann, Yuri, and Flynn; and 1 niece, Stella.

 

He was preceded by brother, Jeremy Grayam; grandfather, Dennis E. (Ripper) Barger, Sr.; and great-grandparents, Normal Westphal and Floyd (Carrie) Barger.

 

Dennis enjoyed football, fishing, and basketball. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 83.

 

Dennis is fondly remembered by his family as a "funny man". A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Cremation will follow the service. A time of visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
